Who we help
Most advice stops at "save more, pick these funds." Real life doesn't. We work with people across the Triangle who've reached a moment where the money questions got bigger than a spreadsheet. These are the ones we see most.
- Just getting started. First real job, first 401(k), first time thinking past next month. You want good habits before there's a lot to manage.
- Growing a family. Two incomes or one, childcare, a bigger house, life insurance, a will. Everything is happening at once and every decision touches the others.
- Mid-career, no plan. You've saved, but it's scattered across old employers and accounts you don't look at. You're 45 or 55 and want to know where you stand.
- Approaching retirement. When can I stop? How do I turn savings into income? What about healthcare before Medicare, and Social Security timing?
- Caring for parents. Managing someone else's money, often for the first time, while protecting your own plan.
- Tech and RTP professionals. Equity compensation, RSUs, job changes, and a 401(k) from every employer you've had.
The questions that come up
- Can we afford for one of us to stay home for a few years?
- My parents need help. How do I manage their money without wrecking my own plan?
- I'm 52 and have never had a plan. Is it too late?
- Should I pay down the mortgage or invest?
- What do I do with the 401(k) from my old job?
- How much life insurance do we really need?
Those are planning questions, not portfolio questions. That's the work.
See yourself in one of these? Let's talk.
